Use and value: Looking for colleagues for recycling research in San Francisco –

Frederik Larsen, PhD fellow at the Copenhagen Business School is looking for researchers in the San Francisco Area:

As part of a research project on use and value I am going to the San Francisco Area this coming spring to do research on organizations and companies handling recycled goods. While I am there I would like to get in contact with researchers working on recycling, waste, use, things and values in order to exchange ideas, get new perspectives and to pool knowledge on the subjects. I am interested in establishing long term collaborations as well as informal meetings, information on seminars etc.

The project I am working on investigates the relationship between people, use and values. Through an interdisciplinary approach combining anthropology and cultural studies the aim is to generate knowledge on how cultural, ethical and economic values are negotiated in second hand markets. The project is still in its initial stage so I am interested in different perspectives from all relevant disciplines.

If you are working on any of these subjects and are interested in sharing knowledge or findings, I am very interested in hearing from you. Please contact me at: fl.ikl@cbs.dk
