Archive Alert! Chicago Recycling Coalition

Last year, the Chicago Recycling Coalition donated 17 linear feet of files to the Chicago History Museum.  These files are now cataloged and available for use.  They comprise the CRC’s battles to end incineration of waste in Chicago in the 1980s, and also the long history of Chicago’s attempts to develop curbside recycling services, cataloging both municipal policy and interactions with
local environmental activists.

To reference the finding aid, please go to <http://libguides.chicagohistory.org/research>, scroll down and type
“Chicago Recycling Coalition” in the search box.

Special thanks to Carl Zimring for bringing this resource to our attention!
