Canada’s Waste Network Launched!
Canada’s Waste Network has just launched! It aims to connect social science and humanities researchers interested in Canadian waste issues:
Waste – variously called garbage, debris and discards – is a complex phenomenon. Humanities and social science scholars study waste from a variety of perspectives and methodologies. Canada’s Waste Network brings together these exciting and diverse ways of understanding waste and its issues, providing an interactive resource to connect researchers and the public. We hope to better understand Canadian waste issues in order to resolve them.
They host a member bibliography, research opportunities bulletin, and a profile of research groups in addition to their blog.
The Network is still in formation, but looks like it will be a promising way to solidify the discard studies community in Canada or who do research in Canada.
